Welcome to the Atlantic Divers Gas Team

A few members within Atlantic Divers have formed a Technical Diving Team, our mission (if you choose to accept it) over the next few years is to promote and provide technical diving in our area. This will involve on going training and tackling some of the deeper wrecks and dive sites in this country and abroad.

Minimum criteria is trimix qualified using either a twin set or re-breather. Although we don’t certify divers we have a fully qualified instructor within the club who can provide preferred rates for members. Once trained, our team will carry out regular training events at various locations on the west coast, including Loch Lomond, Kenmore point and the Lochaline Wall.

Some of the planned dives this coming year are:

• U33, The Clyde Estuary                                            
  
• Various wrecks in Scapa Flow
• Buitenzorg, Sound of Mull

We will be hiring some “J” cylinders of helium and O2 and purchasing a booster pump to ensure we get all the gas out of the cylinders, and hopefully purchasing a helium analyser.
